Nykredit Realkredit priced its second euro senior secured deal of the year on Tuesday, a Eu500m long five year that an official at the issuer said went well, drawing more than Eu800m of demand and performing after pricing.

Nykredit Realkredit is planning a roadshow for a senior secured issue that will be its first euro benchmark where the proceeds are being used for covered bond overcollateralisation purposes rather than, as previously, for reasons of CRD compliance.

DLR Kredit sold a heavily oversubscribed Dkr2bn (Eu268m) October 2016 senior secured issue on Tuesday, benefitting from a tightening of spreads after the ECB rate cut at the beginning of May, according to the issuer and leads.

A Eu500m five year Nykredit Realkredit senior secured deal met with “massive” demand on Monday, including orders from first-time buyers in Asia, Portugal and Spain, said an official at the issuer, as a shift away from the “Junior Covered Bond” name made for an easier sale.

BRFkredit is planning to launch a Eu500m senior deal early next year after having set up a Eu4bn EMTN programme, and the Danish issuer’s group treasurer told The Covered Bond Report that the inaugural issue could be a Section 33e senior secured deal.

DLR Kredit on Wednesday for the first time issued senior secured debt pursuant to Section 33e of Danish covered bond legislation, selling Dkr4bn (Eu536m) of what are also known as Junior Covered Bonds.
