Norway wins ECBC steering seat

Norwegian covered bond issuers will gain representation on the steering committee of the European Covered Bond Council from January, with DNB’s Helge Stray becoming one of two new members.

Paul O’Connor, ECBC chairman, announced changes to the steering committee at a plenary meeting of the industry body yesterday (Wednesday). As well as Norway, Austria will gain representation on the steering committee for the first time.

Stray is chairman of the Norwegian Covered Bond Council, whose secretariat is provided by Finance Norway (FNO).
