Berg joins Danish FSA as director general

Jesper Berg joined the Danish FSA (Finanstilsynet) from Nykredit yesterday (Thursday) as its new director general.

Jesper BergAt Nykredit, Berg was in charge of regulatory affairs and ratings, and he was a member of the executive board of Nykredit Bank. He joined Nykredit in 2010 from Danmarks Nationalbank, where he had worked as head of financial stability, head of market operations, and head of payment systems. His experience also includes stints at the European Central Bank and IMF.

Berg replaces Ulrik Nødgaard as director general.
